Home

I just wanna go home
Not that place you live at and where all ya shit is
Im talking bout that place where ya heart is and ya memories live
Trying to go back to 303 Climax St in Beltzhoover and just chill with real friends
Sit on the porch rolling up grass and paper trying not to get caught again
Racing home from school just so you could race back out
Mom would say have fun but when them street lights come on get ya lil ass back in this house
Back to them big family holidays when everybodys dirty laundry hit the fan
Disfunctional as we were, there was still no truer love then the fam
Braggin bout ya Christmas presents and trying to save ya new Christmas clothes
Couldnt wait for that first day back to school to show out with ya new clothes on
Back to them real summers when you didnt have a care in the world
Back to that summer crush, never gonna forget that girl
Home was those pep rallys in high school before the big game
Remembering those times in the cafe you joined in the laughter but inside you really felt bad for that quote unquote "lame"
Home is that high school relationship you thought would last forever
Nothing was better then running on that field Friday nights looking in the crowd spotting ya girl wearing your jacket with that varsity letter
That freshman kid that kinda looked like you that you claimed was ya lil brother
All those made up lil high school families where ya cousin could be your step sister and your mother
This growing up shit just aint what I thought it would be
Cruel lessons of life have taught me its not all about me
I'll end this note with a life deflating sigh of a moan.....
So who else besides me just wants to go home?
