Snow

When that first flake falls its like an alarm goes off in every kids head 
Snow was the 1 thing that could always get a sick kid out of bed 
I remember those street football games when tackle was now accepted 
Throwin snow balls outa love at the girls yet still got rejected 
Snow was the one thing that could turn socks to gloves 
Everybody cuddled up, young kids showin that puppy love 
Wakin up extra early lookin at those school delays 
Knowing damn well a few people was gonna text you with the news like it was the latest craz 
Always took extra long for KDKA to get to Pittsburgh Public 
But when the news finally hit, you was back under them covers like fuck it! 
Mom always tried to dress you up real warm 
Whole time your mind was steady focused on getting out that door 
But before you went to play ya parents would toss you that shovel 
Mad as can be shovlin, poutin, screamin “this is why I dont love you!” 
But u knew that wasn’t true, you would love them forever 
Damn I miss the memories that come with that snowy weather
