Enough with the depressed shit it’s time to live my life
Something bout the summer just makes you feel right
Went through some shit all year that had my mind trippin
Well really just this 1 female, bottom line she said no so now it’s time to get back to livin
Nothing better than that sunshine hittin ya face after sleepin in
Feels like each and every day brings a new begin
Can't believe I spent so damn long trying to get her this year
You would think I wud have got the point after hearin so many times she don’t care
Reading her mind is too much of a task, lately even for her own girls
So ima just smile and let life do what it wants, seems like I’ve bin missin out on the world
Lookin out the window I see the start of a great day
Who knows what today may bring, whatever it is ill let it happen as it may
Now before I go on let me say this poem aint written to diss nobody
Just feel like I had to let all the lasting feelings leak through my pen so I can get back to being somebody
This 1 is bout you no need to hide it
But everything is good lol best believe I’m wearin a smile aint nobody cryin
So back to this summer thing, it’s comin just in time
Finally cleared my mind...gotta love the summertime
Something bout those days spent chillin on the porch wit ya boys
And late nights hittin those house parties till the cops come complaining about the noise
That BBQ at the park that the whole hood comes out to
That look of nothing else matters on everyone’s face
Little kids running around finally out of school getting to make their own choice
The smell of the grill as that 1 uncle pushes you to the side tellin you bout the old times
Just that simple long ass hug from ya grandma that frees ya mind
Chillin at the pool playin gator 30 niggas deep
So care free you forget the day of the week
That random ass trip to Kennywood that everyone says it aint nuttin big
But keep it real, summer in da Burgh just aint summer without hittin KWood
That summer crush that we all seem to get
Be that same person we said we would never get with
So I don’t know bout you but I’m good and ready for this summer
Sorry facebook but I think you might have already read my last depressed letter
