It's a new year and im just as excited as the next guy
But i feel the need to expose what has become a highly annoying lie
It seems like everyone says the same thing year after year
"New year, new me!" is all i ever hear
Everyone claims to be making changes and starting brand new
But by the time next month rolls around i know you will be the same old you
And what does it really mean to change?
As far as i see all these people go back to the same place with the same people playin the same games
Im not attempting to put down people who are trying to change
Im just annoyed by people who talk the talk but never come through when someone calls their name
As for me a calendar change didnt change who i was or alter my plans
So new year!...same old Chance
