What a night it has been and what a future to be told
I didnt think i would be alive to tell this story when i get old
Yet i have that ticket stub sucure in the wallet
And unlike Bush-Kerry this wasnt 2 close to call it
Obama! Obama! Obama! rang from every dorm
Cudnt help but to smile as I saw McCain supporters mourn
But is this really just a dream of which we will all awake 2maro?
Do those who gave Obama their vote just because hes black see this win as hallow?
He said change would come and now its time to see it happen
We put you in office prez...lets see what you really do as captain
People need to see that this struggle isnt close to being finish
All this vote does is give the chance for change some time to replenish
Obama cant do it on his own, its gonna take everyones help
When you think about, what real leader can do it by them self
So dont think your job is done just because of where we placed him
The real work starts now...lets save the nation
