Not Gonna Write About You

I want a new topic something new to write
Not gonna let the thought of you take up my whole night
This time ima write about my dreams and where i wanna go
Gonna write about work or a tv show
Just wanna write about anything that doent mention your name
Write me a funny poem, time to switch up the game
Im not that sad depressed soul my poems make me out to be
Im really just laid back and like to have fun
But when my pen hits the paper your the only one
Wanna write about how my day went or what my night plans are
Wanna write about how im tired of da bus and need me a car
I need a new topic in life, a new start to my writing
Cant seem to find that inspiration i guess its in hiding
Problem is even in a poem about not being about you
There was no way to avoid this poem being about you
She was the reason i started to write
The next 1 was the one who kept me up all night
But your the one who stays on my mind
Only way to say what i need to say is through rhyme
Your like the dream girl but a dream is what it is
Reality is life, gotta soon relize this
Like dat boy Urkel says your like reaching for a star
I know im not gonna reach you but i gotta keep trying no matter how far
Your really like my Laura and i hope this ends like the show
